Lex in the city

buildingcrane.jpg

OK folks (lets's see who bothers to read this thing), I am on holiday so I am looking for suggestions on fun and interesting things to do in the city. I already spend a lot of time in my beloved South Brooklyn (Park Slope, Red Hook, Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Dumbo, Downtown Brooklyn) so I am looking for other fascinating hoods to explore.

Currently, I am considering Chelsea galleries, walking the perimeter of Manhattan, eating my way along the 7-train, MOMA and PS1 in Long Island City among other places.

Please comment away...

The Cloisters is a good choice.
Ellis Island is also enjoyable.
Catch a show, on Bradway or off Broadway or both.
Go to a concert.
The United Nations Building or a lecture at the YALE club.
Swiming at the YALE club
Go shopping again.
Come out to Los Angeles.
Take your cats in for grooming.
Buy your cats a fun scratch post.
Rid yourself of your futon.
Visit Maysel?
Go over to Columbia to say Hello.
Take a day tip to the country and pick apples.
A walk on Madison Ave, to window shop.

"swimming at the Yale Club" has to be one of the more random suggestions I have heard.

that ellis island visit is indeed a good idea.

the DEA has an atrocious exhibit in times square about the supposed connection between drug use and terrorism. it's apparently even lamer than it sounds.

also somebody needs to check out the Century 21 in bay ridge and tell me if it's worth going down there.

Ellis island is a good one. Maybe tomorrow.
Century 21 is a terrible, terrible place that should be avoided at all costs. Then again, i hate shopping for clothes, so my opinion may be a bit biased.

Isamu Noguchi Museum in Long Island City. I've never been there but I've heard it's great.
