Cake II
Problem: How does one celebrate a birthday for someone special who isn't too keen about a celebration?
Solution: Bake a cake!
Rational: I figured everyone likes cake. I also figured the mental image of me going through my first baking process could provide enough fodder for potential teasings if the cake wasn't edible.
Other considerations:
Gummy bears are always a big hit.
Handmade frosting rocks.
Do NOT sing happy birthday to the birthday girl.
Transporting cakes in a bus = not fun.
Manual handmixers are not your friends. Invest in an electric mixer.
Conclusions: Success! The cake turned out pretty tasty.
And my birthday girl seemed pretty happy, which is what really matters most to me.
