Thoughts on Spring
I have conflicted feelings about spring. While I can't help but be excited about the increase in light and heat, there is something about this time of year that has produced in me over the years a variety of unspringlike reactions such as isolation, anxiety and depression. When I have mentioned this to New Yorkers in the past, the typical reaction is one of a puzzled face.
Frankly, I am puzzled as well.
As my current job is coming to an end, I am going to devote some time over the next few weeks exploring the significance and meaning of this change in season for me. I still intend to explore and share my world in a visual fashion, but now with special attention to the written.
Let me add that that if there is one very specific reason I am looking forward to the change in season, it's because I know how much happiness and comfort it will bring to Corie, who still can catch the shivers each night 'til a hot shower revives her circulation.

As the sage Cauncy Gardener said so well, "there will be growth in the spring."
