Meat Packing
Meat Packing District, Manhattan
Before meeting Corie after work for $3 margaritas at Benny's, I walked around her office's immediate neighborhood.
I need to go back and take my time -- it is a wonderful mixture of gaudy trendiness and old-style food industry. Chic boutiques and hotels overcharge across the street from the beef blood stained pavement. A lot of graffiti and a lot of strut. Fun!
On another note: I am about to leave town for a while for a job. I want to have a fun NY weekend with Corie and already have an idea of what we are going to do. But I thought I would open up the floor for any suggestions. We don't like crowded things, but are open to anything.
central park.

The Cloisters

um. I don't think the weather is going to be great park weather.
WE are not going to take a carriage ride in the park. I have no problem being a "tourist" in my own city, but those horses smell and are actually pretty sad.
Cloisters...hmmm...

The Cloisters is always an interesting day trip.

Spend part of your day by the water, maybe on it...perhaps a harbor ride?
