First case
74 hours in 4 days. 30 hours of tape.
Pockets of restless sleep, clouded with shadowy dreams. Oreos from vending machines, plain Wendy's burgers, and shot after shot of cuban coffee -- my only source of energy.
I am a witness to the moments after a crime. When the hunt begins and the detectives push themselves, I have to try to be one step ahead. To get the right shot, to ask the right question, to make sure we are not missing anything. Individual elements pass through my lens and I must try to weave them together. A dead end frays the narrow focus and we jump to another line.
But there is a thrill. One that I can push myself so hard and still perform well. That I am allowed entry into a world that is taped off to the outside world...with good reason. On my flip-out screen, my sheild, my filter, I must see the results of the darkest sides of man and somehow sustain and somehow find the ever elusive story.
The first hectic week is over and I must get ready for the next big push.
Unfortunately, I can not talk about these cases...not now. Perhaps at a much later date, I can describe what I have seen.
Stay safe.

haha! Thats going to be slightly hard to keep in lexacor towers!
Sounds interesting, and hard, work lex. As long as you can switch off from the maelstrom from time to time to catch your breath...
